Network Coordinator

VCS Academy currently supports 25 projects supporting different communities across the globe. Through fiscal hosting and operational and administrative support for the project managers and volunteers. Community projects can access not-for-profit status through being fiscally hosted by VCS Academy CIC, while the organisations handles the majority of their financial operations, administrative tasks, and monitoring and reporting support for their different teams

We need a network coordinator to organize and facilitate a network of webinars and meetings for the different project teams to share best practices, tackle challenges, and foster collaboration among project teams. Drive meaningful conversations and knowledge exchange to amplify collective impact.

VCS Academy volunteer team is made up of volunteers, currently we have 8 volunteers, and we are looking to expand the team to cover roles in Communications, Relationships Management, Marketing and Business Development, and Networks Coordination.

Job Description

  1. Represent VCS Academy CIC to the outside community, building and maintaining meaningful connections that enhance the organization’s reputation and visibility.
  2. Be in regular contact with different project teams to foster collaboration between teams and thereby expand your social network.
  3. Organize internal webinars amongst hosted projects to facilitate sharing of best practices and address challenges collectively.
  4. Ideate and develop knowledge-sharing hubs, amplifying the impact of our entire community by promoting collective learning and innovation.
  5. Desirable: Develop platforms or tools for enhanced communication and engagement, such as forums or shared resource centers.

Requirements

• Strong inter-personal and communication skills to establish rapport and maintain good relationships with our core volunteers, and volunteers from other projects and organisations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with external and internal volunteers.

• Ability to adapt tone and messaging to align with the organization’s objectives.

• Ability to craft compelling and clear captions and messages to attract new volunteers.

• Ability to create engaging posts and updates on projects using provided information and photos.

• Awareness of the cultural and situational context in Gaza to ensure respectful and appropriate representation.

Desirable

• Proficiency in any graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools).

Duration – Time Estimate

• 7-14 hours per week.

We work remotely and flexibly, on-demand, and you can manage your own time and task list.
