Your Responsibilities: Being hosted doesn’t mean being hands-off. You are accountable for:
- Running your activities legally and ethically
- Keeping good records
- Communicating openly with VCS
Following Policy: You’ll be expected to adhere to:
- Financial reporting timelines
- Brand usage policies
- Volunteer and safeguarding protocols
Don’t Sign Alone: Since you’re not a separate legal entity, only VCS can sign binding agreements. If a grantmaker sends you a contract, route it through us.
Restricted Funds: If a donor earmarks funds (e.g., only for education), you must respect that. We’ll help manage those restrictions.
Your autonomy is paired with responsibility. Think of VCS not as a manager, but as a governance partner.
